The history of the Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp begins in 1238 when the Sint-Elisabeth Hospital moved to the present site. Featuring its own green spaces and complemented by an almost 200-year-old Botanical Garden, the Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp is a verdant hideaway in the bustling city centre.
