On Thursday 24th May, the 3rd Belgian Round Table will be organized with the theme Insider threat - breach of trust.

An employee usually doesn’t start with an employer with the intention to abuse their confidence. However, in practice, companies have to deal with (former) employees who do not mean well with them. The impact is very diverse: from “smaller” theft, fraudulent practices to sabotage with larger consequences. During the “ASIS Belgian round table” we delve deeper into the approach that a company can elaborate in order to protect itself against “insider threat”. The outline of such a policy promises to become a fascinating balancing act between giving and taking trust.

Speaker:
Nele Eykens is a criminologist and after her studies she immediately stepped into the business world. During the following ten years she worked for several companies (TNT Express, Volvo, Tech data) with responsibilities in security and risk management. Seven years ago she exchanged the more “operational” work field for a Corporate Security function with ENGIE Electrabel where she formalizes the security policy from practice.
